Southcoast Health seeks a skilled Registered Nurse for the Family Center at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role involves coordinated nursing care, patient teaching, and collaboration with the care team.

Evening/night shift with every other weekend, holidays and on-call rotation; 7:00pm–7:00am; 36 hours per week. A $5,000 new hire sign-on is offered for RN Family Center experience, with eligibility for rehires after one year. Current MA RN license and BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the Family Center.
• Provide patient and family teaching and education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to maintain standards of care.
• Participate in shift handoffs and on-call rotation.

Hours: 36hrs

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Three (3) months experience is preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• Labor and delivery or mother/baby RN experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
