Job summary

MultiCare Health System invites new graduate or experienced RNs to join the RN Resident/Transition to Practice program at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA. The cohort provides classroom instruction and clinical hours with expert preceptors, developing competence, autonomy and purpose in patient care.

You will learn nursing assessment, planning, evaluation and delegation, while advancing clinical skills across the lifespan with supportive mentorship and a focus on quality, patient experience

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or MLS endorsement
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days of hire as required by department
• TNCC, PEARS within 1 year of hire as required by department

Responsibilities

• Learn to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate, and delegate nursing functions across the lifespan, families, caregivers, and populations
• Utilize the nursing process for health teaching and care
• Collaborate to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost outcomes
• Function interdependently when executing a medical regimen under physician direction
