Job summary

CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, NJ invites newly licensed RNs to join the Observation Unit RN Residency Program. This 12-month structured orientation includes preceptorship, progressive clinical experience, didactic and simulation components, and rotation through units to build confidence for independent practice.

Qualifications

• Must be soon-to-be or newly licensed RN or have less than one year of working RN experience.
• Must have a BSN or ASN degree, passed the NCLEX and have a NJ RN license before the employment start date.
• Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Over 12 months, build a foundation in leadership, critical thinking and professional development.
• Be hired as a full-time, benefit eligible employee.
• Receive structured didactic content, simulated labs, mentoring and preceptors.
• Float between units as an RN and provide 1:1 patient observation when needed.
• Gain on-floor exposure with Wound Care and Respiratory Therapy teams.
• Develop delegation, organizational and clinical skills.
