St. Vincent's Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 32-hour evening shift (3pm–11:30pm). Provides direct nursing care following established policies and protocols while coordinating care with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Communicates patient condition.
• Serves as primary coordinator of disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Provides individualized care addressing physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and age-related needs.
• Delegates care to nursing personnel according to education and expertise.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and provides input to patient outcomes.
• Adheres to ANA standards of nursing practice and ethics.
• Develops and revises individualized plans of care.
• Engages in professional growth activities beyond patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
