Job summary
Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, MO, is hosting a New Graduate RN Residency to launch your nursing career with hands-on guidance from experienced nurse leaders and a structured program. You will deliver patient-centered care across settings and transition from student to registered nurse.
The residency includes advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, simulations, mentoring, and a practice project, with flexible Start Dates every two weeks around
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
- No previous experience needed
- Some travel maybe needed for training
Responsibilities
- The RN Resident coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department scope and standards.
- Assist and perform nursing procedures, document care in the medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and intervene as needed.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
- Teach patients, families and caregivers about conditions, plans and follow-up.
