Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN Resident for the 3100 Unit, a 16-bed cardiac telemetry and med/surg unit on the Akron campus. This role involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends and three holidays annually.

You will gain hands-on experience under a preceptor, supported by a structured residency focused on education, clinical certification and career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN).
• Current state RN license in Ohio.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• New graduate RN or RN with <1 year inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in residency core curriculum based on learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish/revise priorities for patient care by acuity and resources.
• Respond to risk signals and initiate corrective action.
• Seek supervision when unable to perform safely.
• Document in patients' medical records.
