Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking an RN for the Acute Care Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery unit to deliver direct nursing care to patients recovering from complex procedures, in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; coordinate the interdisciplinary plan; advocate for patients and families; administer treatments and medications; document care; and pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care planning.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications, and document care provided.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Delegate tasks and serve as a resource person.
• Pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications.
