Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Akron General for a night-shift Registered Nurse position on the high-acuity Neuro/Cardiac Telemetry unit. You will deliver direct nursing care, assess patient needs, document treatments, and coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care to ensure excellent outcomes.

Minimum requirements include ADN/BSN, RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within one year of hire. Preferred BSN and NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in developing plans of care, coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Provide nursing care, administer treatments and medication and document.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes, contribute to the improvement of care and participate in the quality improvement process.
• Delegate tasks/assignments, serve as a resource person, pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications, maintain applicable certification/licensure and obtain any required certifications specific to the unit.
