Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH seeks an RN Resident for the PK II Progressive Coronary Care Unit. This one-year Nurse Residency offers nine tracks, including online modules and simulation labs, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

The role involves night shifts 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with weekend/holiday requirements, direct patient care, and close collaboration with a success coach in a high-acuity cardiac unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• New grad or ≤1 year RN experience or moves from non-inpatient to acute inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
