Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a driven Registered Nurse to join the Tamarack clinic in Woodbury, MN. The role is 0.8 FTE (64 hours biweekly) with 8-hour days and a schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday, and 7:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. Travel to Stillwater and River Falls clinics may be required. The RN will plan, organize, and provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, educating patients and families, maintaining accurate documentation, and improving

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license in Minnesota or applicable state.
• Ambulatory/clinic experience preferred; 1 year is desirable.
• BLS certification preferred.

Job Overview

Fairview Health Services is looking for a driven Registered Nurse to join the hard working Primary Care team at our Tamarack clinic based in Woodbury, MN. This nursing position is approved for 64 hours every two weeks (0.8 FTE) working 8 hour days. The schedule includes working hours between 7:00 a.m - 6:00 pm. Monday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. This position may require traveling to our Stillwater and Riverfalls clinic.

The registered nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. While following established standards and protocols, the registered nurse delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. The RN provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices. As a member of the care team, the RN supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The nurse will educate patients and the public about various medical conditions, maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Implement nursing interventions based on plan of care.
• Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
• Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
• Continuously work to improve work processes, environment, and the overall experience to serve customers and meet business goals.

Required Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice, some positions may require additional state RN licenses

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
