BayCare Health System is seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Float RN to join the PICU team in Tampa, with night shift hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. This full-time role requires two years of pediatric critical care experience and active RN licensure in Florida.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
• Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in Pediatric Critical Care.

Responsabilités

• Provide care for pediatric patients in the PICU using nursing process and clinical standards.
• Monitor vitals, record findings, and update the care team.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s condition and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
• Communicate with patients and families with empathy, simplifying medical information.

Position Description: RN- Pediatric Critical Care Float

The Pediatric Critical Care Float Registered Nurse in critical care works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of Pediatric patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. TheRegistered Nurse in the PediatricICU is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• Care for pediatric patient needs throughout their recovery in pediatric critical care
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical pediatric patients
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

Required Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Associates Degree in Nursing
• At least 2 year of RN experience in a Pediatric Critical Care setting
