Eligible candidates hold an active NJ RN license, current BLS/ACLS/PALS, and EPIC experience; a Bachelor’s degree and perioperative or critical care background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• At least 1 year current patient care experience in Peri-OP or Critical Care
• Comfort with EMR systems (EPIC)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening when needed
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate timely care decisions
• Educate patients and families to prepare for next care steps

PACU is part of the Peri-Op Division. Staff care for patients immediately post Surgery until stable.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is at least one year current patient care experience in Peri-OP or Critical Care and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a 2 days/week, 11a-11:30p, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
