Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Day shift RN for Jersey City Medical Center's Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The RN will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients and families.

Documentation in EPIC is essential, with ongoing opportunities for professional growth and interdisciplinary participation. Candidates must hold an active NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, and Basic Dysrhythmia, with at least 2 years in PACU/ICU/SICU.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course and ACLS required. A bachelor's degree in nursing is required or actively enrolled in a BSN program with expected completion date. Minimum 2 years of PACU, ICU or Surgical ICU RN experience. Comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This is a per diem day shift. Must be able to work every other weekend. Scheduled as needed with a minimum requirement of 3 shifts a month and will need to work 1 winter and 1 summer holiday allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
