Job summary

Emplify Health by Gundersen in La Crosse, WI, is hiring a Registered Nurse for an 0.8 FTE position in the Orthopedic Unit. The role focuses on specialized orthopedic and trauma care, driving patient outcomes in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

You will provide wound care, traction and cast management, and postoperative recovery support, while helping patients regain mobility and quality of life. BLS and Wisconsin RN licensure are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Wisconsin upon hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic and trauma care to patients with fractures, joints replacements, and injuries.
• Develop expertise in care of acute surgical and orthopedic patients, including traction management, cast care, postoperative recovery, and wound care.
• Care for patients throughout recovery to restore mobility, function, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, APPs, PTs, OT, social workers, CNAs, and fellow RNs.
