Job summary

Gundersen Health System is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Psychiatric Unit in La Crosse, WI. This 0.6 FTE position provides both medical-surgical and psychiatric care to a diverse patient population.

You will work 8-hour rotating day and evening shifts, with every other weekend and three holidays per year. A Wisconsin RN license, ADN required, BSN preferred, and BLS certification are required to join our compassionate team.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Wisconsin upon hire.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
• Care for patients with medical and behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, psychiatrists, RNs, CNAs, social workers, and therapists.
• Develop specialized skills for coordinated, patient-centered care.
