Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an RN - Operating Room (Days) at Wesley Chapel to join a large hospital network. The role requires minimum two years of acute care RN experience and at least one year in the OR preferred; on-call required; in-person work.

You will be part of an engaged team, with BLS, RN, ACLS certifications, and opportunities for tuition reimbursement and career growth; full-time, days shifts, with routine 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years RN acute care experience.
• Preferred at least 1 year Operating Room experience.
• BLS, RN certification; ACLS preferred by department.

Responsibilities

• Care for a sub-specialty group of patients with professional accountability.
• Model professionalism and mentor other nursing team members.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Summary:

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team
• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of two years of RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year of Operating Room experience as an RN for consideration.

Experience :

• Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural
• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
