Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med-Surg in Bellevue, OH. This full-time, on-site role requires 7p-7a shifts and entails implementing the nursing process, patient assessments, and discharge planning within FRMC standards of care.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, maintaining supplies, and collaborating with physicians. Ohio RN license, CPR, ACLS, EKG, and strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Current ACLS and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
