Firelands Health is seeking a part-time RN in the ER at Bellevue, OH. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating with physicians, and supporting patients and families through emergencies and discharge planning.

Eligible candidates will hold an Ohio RN license with CPR, and preferably 1 year of ER experience. Certifications in PALS/ACLS/TNCC are required or obtained within 6 months of hire. Excellent organization and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care.
• Prefer at least 1 year of ER nursing experience.
• Current PALS, ACLS, EKG, and TNCC certifications or obtain within 6 months.
• Strong organization, customer service, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients per physician orders and Firelands standards.
• Performs assessments; documents care plans and reports findings to physicians.
• Educates patients, families, and staff on treatments and discharge plans.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains meds and supplies; ensures clean equipment and environment.

What You Will Do:

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.

What You Will Need:

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
