Responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, and providing quality nursing care across diverse patient populations, including pediatric to geriatric patients.

1. Supervises LVNs, LPNs, nursing assistants, and clerical staff; may serve as charge nurse.
2. Develops, reviews, and updates nursing care plans; implements and evaluates patient interventions.
3. Educates patients and families, acting as a role model and preceptor for staff and students.
4. Communicates patient status accurately, maintains confidentiality, and promotes effective team communication.
5. Utilizes the nursing process, manages patient flow, and ensures unit operations align with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
6. Maintains documentation, ensures equipment safety, and processes medical orders accurately.
7. Requires a BSN (preferred), RN license, BLS certification, and 6+ months of nursing experience.
