Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking an inpatient RN in Labor & Delivery to assess patient health problems, implement care plans, and maintain medical records. The role includes administering medications and monitoring patient conditions during the night shift.

The position requires active RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and NRP within three months of hire. We offer a 0.90 FTE schedule with a 36-hour week and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible hires.

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS required prior to orientation completion
• ACLS required prior to orientation completion
• NRP required within three months of hire

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

• AHA BLS required prior to orientation completion

• ACLS required prior to orientation completion

• NRP required within three months of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing preferred

• Circulating experience in operating room preferred
