Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for night shifts. The role involves patient assessments, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and administering medications with careful monitoring.

The RN will maintain detailed records, provide health maintenance guidance, and support a high standard of care. This position offers a $5.00/hour night differential, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM hours, and a 0.60 FTE schedule.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state of employment or via multi-state compact.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required before orientation.
• NRP required within 3 months of hire.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS required prior to orientation completion
• ACLS required prior to orientation completion
• NRP required within three months of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing preferred
• Circulating experience in operating room preferred
