Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical ICU at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.

The RN will provide compassionate, high‑quality care to ICU patients, follow nursing process, and support discharge planning. On-call is required and in-person work is essential. Ideal candidates hold an RN license with a nursing degree and 1 year ICU experience in acute care, plus BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• RN License required
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 1 year RN experience in ICU in Acute Care setting
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients using nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members
• Cares for patient needs throughout recovery in critical care
• Monitors, records, and updates care team on vitals and assessments
• Identifies sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responds to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates and documents discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care after discharge
• Uses high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience

• Location: St. Anthony's Hospital – Medical/Surgical ICU – St. Petersburg, Florida
• Status: Part Time
• Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
