Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time 36-hour week, 7am–7pm, with a $5,000 retention bonus. The role involves implementing the nursing process, performing assessments, and coordinating care with physicians to ensure safe discharge.

Requirements include Ohio RN license, CPR, and ACLS/BLS within 6 months of hire. Strong organizational and computer skills are essential; Firelands emphasizes employee support and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must have an Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care.
• ACLS, Basic EKG, and PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Excelled organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.

What You Will Need:

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Current ACLS, Basic EKG, and PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Excelled organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
