Job summary

Firelands Health in Sandusky, OH is seeking a full-time RN, Operating Room Circulator for a 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM schedule on-site. This role includes taking call with a 30-minute response time and a supportive environment to balance personal life while advancing a nursing career.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care.
• ACLS and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment
• Demonstrates service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm. Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
