Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse for a facility-based crisis/non-hospital detox setting. You will provide nursing care, clinical oversight, and crisis management for patients who are voluntary and perform ADLs, with an average stay of 5–7 days.

The role features a multi-shift schedule with day and night coverage and a strong emphasis on teamwork, patient safety, and QA processes. Prior behavioral health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a nursing degree.
• Must meet licensure requirements for RN practice.
• Prefer one year of nursing experience in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor clients with current nursing assessment skills.
• Provide oversight and nursing care in facility-based crisis/non-hospital detox settings.
• Maintain accurate inventories and logs for controlled substances per policy.
• Monitor patients for side effects and adverse drug reactions.
• Complete QA activities and participate in QA processes.

No physical or chemical restraints. Average length of stay of patients is 5 -7 days.

• Day shift: 7:00 am -7:00 pm
• Night Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize your skills and expertise, current nursing assessment skills and knowledge of nursing principles to assess and monitor clients, participating in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment and responding to crises on a timely basis.
• Comply with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies
• Monitor consumers and taking appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications
• Complete QA activities as requested and participating in the QA process
• Communicate effectively with the team
• Our ideal Registered Nurse has excellent listening and communication skills, can pick up on nonverbal communication and is eager to work on nonstandard nursing assignments.

Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include:

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided
• Prefer one year of nursing experience.
• Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
• Some college training and/or management experience helpful
• Valid drivers license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
• Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.

Pre-employment screening:

• Complete criminal background
• Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
• Drug testing
• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Proof of employment history or references (if required)
• Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
