Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven is seeking an experienced RN for Endoscopy to join the Days Pool. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with the health care team.

This position is in person at Winter Haven Hospital with a 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift, on-call duties, and opportunities for professional growth through tuition reimbursement and performance incentives.

Qualifications

• RN license and nursing degree required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care or interventional/procedural experience; endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently cares for a sub‑specialty group of patients following nursing process and standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to health care team.
• Maintain professional accountability and development per standards of practice; serve as preceptor/charge nurse when assigned.

The Procedural RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position a minimum of 18 months of RN experience is required. A minimum of one‑year of Endoscopy RN experience is required for consideration for this role.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

• BLS certification

• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association preferred

• PALS certification with the American Heart Association preferred

• Required Experience: 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
