Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an RN for Endoscopy at Wesley Chapel Hospital. This full-time Days position runs 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with on-call duties and occasional weekend work; in-person only.

You will care for a sub-specialty group using the nursing process, delegate tasks, and serve as preceptor/charge nurse as assigned. At least 2 years of acute care RN experience; Endoscopy experience preferred; BLS/ACLS per department.

Qualifications

• RN with acute care experience and procedural nursing exposure preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS if department requires.

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process.
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to the health care team.
• RN serves as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Summary:

The Procedural RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, at least two years of acute care experience is required with 1 year RN experience in Procedural nursing preferred. Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred for consideration.

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RN (Registered Nurse)

• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing

• Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience:

• Required 2 years RN experience

• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
