Job summary

BayCare Health System, a major regional employer, seeks a Procedural RN for Endoscopy at Mease Countryside Hospital. The role is day shift, full-time, with on‑call responsibilities and in-person work at the facility in Safety Harbor, FL.

The RN will provide endoscopy patient care, support a multi-disciplinary team, and may serve as a preceptor and charge nurse. Required are RN licensure in Florida, BLS, and experience in acute care; endoscopy experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least two years of acute care experience with 1 year in Endoscopy, PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service.
• Procedural experience preferred.
• Endoscopy experience strongly preferred for consideration.
• BLS certification required.
• RN licensed to practice in Florida.

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards.
• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Summary:

• RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we prefer at least two years of acute care experience with 1 year RN experience in Endoscopy, PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service. Procedural experience is preferred. Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred for consideration.

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
• Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience:

• Required 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
