Job summary

Sterling Care Riverside in Maryland is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise staff and safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of Residents under our nursing policies and state regulations.

This role administers medications and injections, reviews controlled substances, and ensures quality care while upholding residents’ rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Maryland RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care promoting residents' rights, dignity, and choices.
• Supervise G.N.A.s and subordinate staff; ensure assignments are completed.
• Administer parenteral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous injections.
• Administer medications within RN scope; maintain narcotics inventory.
• Review daily the dispensing of controlled substances and narcotics.

Qualifications for the (RN) Registered Nurse:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program
• Registered with the state as an RN / Registered Nurse

Responsibilities as an (RN) Registered Nurse:

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents/residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice.
• Provides supervision to G.N.A’s and all subordinate staff which includes checking their work to ascertain that assignments have been completed.
• Administer all parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections.
• Administer medications within the scope of practice of the RN Licensure. Maintain a current report of narcotics received and used.
• Review daily the documentation of the dispensing of the controlled substances and narcotics.
