Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) in Illinois seeks an RN for its Regional Float Pool to deliver bedside nursing care across multiple units. The role rotates to facilities such as St. Elizabeth’s, St. Joseph’s and Holy Family, following competency-based float​ criteria.

The ideal candidate will be licensed in the state, have BLS, and prefer 2+ years RN experience with comfort in cross-training and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and licensure in state of practice.
• Evidence of BLS certification; specialty certification preferred for float duties.
• 2+ years RN experience preferred with ability to float to multiple units.

Responsibilities

• Float to ministries/units across a region per competency level.
• Provide bedside nursing care and coordinate with physicians and team.
• Adhere to nursing standards and state regulations; participate in cross‑training.
• Support patients and families while ensuring quality outcomes.
