Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care in accordance with physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

The RN will manage care for an assigned patient group, following hospital policy and the care team approach to ensure high-quality outcomes. GA licensure and BLS are required; BSN and 2+ years of RN experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (required).
• Licensed as RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations (required).
• Must hold BLS certification per American Heart Association (required).
• BSN degree (preferred).
• Two years of RN experience (preferred).
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other unit-specific life support certifications (preferred).
• Visual color acuity depending on unit role (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Manage care of an assigned group of patients in line with Northside Hospital policy.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective, patient-centered care.
• Uphold the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration and empowerment.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
