Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and deliver high-quality patient care in alignment with physician orders and state guidelines. The role requires Georgia RN licensure in good standing and BLS certification. BSN is preferred, with additional life-support credentials welcomed.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
