Job summary

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, mentoring students and colleagues, and delivering care in line with ANA standards. Candidates must hold Maryland RN license and BLS, with ACLS/PALS/NRP as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounds from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence-based changes.
