Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist to lead education in Obstetrics/Labor and Delivery and Mother-baby at Dearborn Hospital. The role focuses on identifying learning needs, developing curricula, measuring outcomes, and promoting evidence-based practice.

You will collaborate with clinical leaders, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor staff, and support staff retention through effective education programs; requires RN with Michigan license, BC-NPD, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing is required.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• RN - State of Michigan license required upon hire.
• BC-NPD certification required (2 years)
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA or ARC)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate high-quality educational activities for staff at all career levels.
• Measure and report on program outcomes and learning impact.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan lifelong learning and curriculum development.
• Lead quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives in education.
