Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA seeks a part-time registered nurse for day shifts. The role provides individualized patient care across ages and integrates with a care-team approach.

Responsibilities include delivering nursing care per Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, coordinating admissions, transfers and discharges, and working rotating weekends/holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. The acceptable credentialing body is the American Heart Association.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to populations served within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English language.

Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Job duties may vary by shift or may be unit-specific.
