Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in downtown Des Moines is seeking an Acute Care RN to join the Procedural Short Stay unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for patients with varying acuity levels, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families through their care journey.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, Iowa RN license, and BLS; ACLS is required for telemetry units.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills.

This role is for our Procedural Short Stay unit at our Downtown Des Moines Hospital.

The Acute Care RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients with varying levels of acuity. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; coordinating with the interdisciplinary team; and supporting patients and families throughout their care journey.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current Iowa RN license required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire
• Basic computer skills
