Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an Acute Care Registered Nurse to join our stroke and neurology team. You will deliver safe, compassionate care to patients across varying acuity, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in advanced stroke interventions and remote telemetry.

Minimum qualifications include ADN, Iowa RN license, BLS, ACLS for telemetry, Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Support patients and families throughout their care journey.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Acute Care RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients with varying levels of acuity. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; coordinating with the interdisciplinary team; and supporting patients and families throughout their care journey.
