Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an Acute Care RN to join our stroke and neurology care team. You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients with varying acuity and collaborate with a tight-knit interdisciplinary team, using advanced technology and remote telemetry.

We offer a generous sign-on bonus up to $20,000 plus relocation assistance. Minimum qualifications include ADN, Iowa RN license, BLS; ACLS for telemetry units; Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

From acute stroke interventions to complex surgical neurology cases, you’ll work with cutting‑edge technology, remote telemetry and a tight‑knit interdisciplinary team that thrives on collaboration and excellence.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Acute Care RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients with varying levels of acuity. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; coordinating with the interdisciplinary team; and supporting patients and families throughout their care journey.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current Iowa RN license required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACL S required for units with telemetry monitoring
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire
• Basic computer skills
