Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PRN RN PreOp to join our team. This fast-paced ASC environment delivers high-quality care and a patient-centered experience for all ages.

The RN Pre-op provides perioperative nursing care, adheres to the medical plan of care, and reports to Peri-operative Services management. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexible scheduling (Monday–Friday with two Saturdays per month, no on-call), and adherence to vaccination and safety policies

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least 1–3 years' experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.
• Able to communicate effectively with staff, patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in perioperative services using the nursing process.
• Follow the medical plan of care and organizational policies.
• Deliver safe, patient-family centered care in the perioperative setting.

Job Summary

The RN Pre-op is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Texas
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
