Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Park Ten is seeking an RN PreOp/PACU to join as a PRN team member. The role focuses on high quality perioperative care, from preoperative assessment through PACU recovery, in a fast-paced Texas hospital environment.

You will work to ensure patient-family centered care and adherence to the medical plan of care. The ideal candidate holds a Texas nursing license with CPR/ACLS/PALS, at least 2 years of hospital experience, and strong communication and organizational

Qualifications

• Texas RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR, ACLS and PALS required.
• Minimum 2 years hospital experience.
• Experience in an ASC is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality preoperative and PACU nursing care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff and families to support care plans.

Job Summary: The RN PreOp/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN PreOp/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN PreOp/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Required Skills:

• Current Texas Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 year experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
