Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Woodland Parkway, is seeking a motivated Full Time RN PreOp to join our team. We operate 4 OR rooms and 1 treatment room and perform outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry and Plastic Surgery.

The position is weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call; some early mornings or later evenings may be required based on the surgical schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using the nursing process and the medical plan of care.
• Support perioperative services for all patient populations.
• Report to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Job Summary

The PreOp RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.
