Job summary

USPI Northwest Surgery Center in Houston seeks a motivated PRN RN PreOp PACU to join the team. The center performs outpatient procedures across ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, and more. Weekday availability with early mornings and some evenings; no holidays or weekends.

Reports to Peri-operative Services Manager. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides quality patient care per plan, supports organizational policies, and collaborates with staff and physicians to ensure safe perioperative care for

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with staff, patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in Pre-Op and PACU per perioperative plan.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and family-centered care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians and perioperative staff.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and adapt to changing patient conditions.

**USPI Northwest Surgery Center **is seeking a motivated PRN RN PreOp PACU to join our team. Conveniently located on the Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital campus. We have 7 OR rooms and 1 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary: The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.
