Job summary

SCA Health, East Pavilion Surgery Center in Portland, OR, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp/PACU. You will assess and manage perioperative patients, plan individualized care, and ensure safe anesthesia recovery across multiple modalities.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration within a fast-paced ASC setting. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with comprehensive benefits and a focus on quality care, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• PALS if pediatric care is included in the facility scope services.
• Participation in quality review and performance improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policies and procedures.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement and manage recovery from anesthesia in various modalities.
• Communicate patient status throughout the care continuum and provide education.
• Transfer care as needed and provide accurate hand-off reports.
• Collaborate with team and maintain patient rights, privacy and safety.
