Job summary

Conroe Surgery Center is seeking a PRN RN for the PreOp/PACU role. The RN will provide continuous, safe patient care, monitor status, and support the surgical team across ENT, General, and other outpatient procedures. Weekdays only, with possible early mornings or late evenings and schedule changes based on surgical flow.

The position requires an RN license in Texas, BLS/ACLS, and preferably 2 years in PACU or critical care. No holidays or weekends. USPI network offers a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as needed.
• Deliver total comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate discharge readiness.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Conroe Surgery Center

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
