Job summary

United Surgical Partners International operates Cibolo Creek Surgery Center in Texas, seeking a PRN RN for PreOp/PACU. The RN provides continuous patient care, supports anesthesia recovery, and collaborates with physicians to ensure safe discharge from surgery.

The role requires RN licensure in Texas, BLS/ACLS, and experience in PACU or critical care; weekdays only with potential early/late shifts based on schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks, including conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge.

Cibolo Creek Surgery Center is hiring a PRN RN PreOp/PACU

Welcome to Cibolo Creek Surgery Center

We have 3 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics and Podiatry. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Cibolo Creek Surgery Center

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
