Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Woodlands Parkway is seeking a motivated RN in the PACU to join our team for PRN shifts. We operate multiple OR rooms with outpatient procedures across several specialties.

Position emphasizes weekdays only with no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements. Responsibilities include post-anesthesia care, monitoring for adverse events, airway management, pain control, and discharge readiness.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Texas, in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS a plus).
• 1–2 years of experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing preferred.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, efficient care to patients in the immediate post-anesthesia phase.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications following surgery.
• Manage airway, pain control, and vital signs until patients meet discharge criteria.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
• Administer medications and respond to changes in patient status using sound clinical judgment.
• Provide patient education and post-op instructions to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and fellow RNs to ensure seamless transitions of care.
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards at all times.

No Weekend, No Holiday, No Call!

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Woodland Parkway is seeking a motivated RN PACU to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 1 treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, Plastic Surgery. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
