Job summary

Cibolo Creek Surgery Center in Schertz, TX, is hiring a PRN RN PreOp/PACU to provide continuous nursing care for patients in the preoperative and PACU settings.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians with procedures and sedation, evaluating patient conditions, and ensuring safety, comfort and privacy as patients recover from anesthesia. Weekday-only schedule; no holidays, weekends, or call required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Strong communication and workload management.
• Ability to work weekdays only with no holidays/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to PACU patients emerging from anesthesia.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation and discharge preparation.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort and privacy throughout care.

RN PreOp/PACU

Welcome to Cibolo Creek Surgery Center We have 3 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics and Podiatry.

Cibolo Creek Surgery Center is hiring a PRN RN PreOp/PACU Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
