Fish Pond Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated RN PreOp/PACU to join our outpatient team. The role focuses on patient safety, comfort, and continuous monitoring before and after anesthesia, with support in the procedure room as needed.
Work schedules are weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call requirements; some early mornings or late shifts may be requested to align with surgical flow and daily schedule.
We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
