Fish Pond Surgery Center is seeking a RN PreOp/PACU to provide continuous nursing care for ambulatory patients across general and specialty surgeries. The RN will monitor patient status, ensure safety and comfort, and support anesthesia recovery with sterile technique and post‑op planning.
The role emphasizes coordination with surgical teams, timely discharge planning, and maintaining high patient flow throughout the day at a busy Texas center.
We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
