Qualifications

• RN license and state certification required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers pertinent patient information for the scheduled case.
• Arranges collected data into the patient record.
• Assesses biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational status.
• Develops an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Serves as liaison between physician offices and surgical team.
• Educates patient on psychosocial, nutritional, medication, pain and wound care.
• Ensures timely, thorough documentation readable by clinical staff.
• Adheres to HIPAA and compliance policies; performs other duties as assigned.
